A specific route was taken via Greetland Junction to Halifax, Bradford Interchange and then on to Leeds. After reversal at Leeds the working retraced its route back to Halifax, to rejoin the Calder Valley line at Greetland Junction, before heading back to York.

Stops were made at all stations between Halifax and Leeds, in both directions.
