A view of the Transpennine Route Upgrade work competed at Huddersfield railway station.

This was the day that the station re-opened after a month long closure whilst the work was undertaken.

Work completed during the closure included;
Replacing the bridge over John William Street
Realigning the track to serve an interim configuration of two through platforms
Lengthening the bay platform
Removing the redundant signal box and a smaller side canopy over the former platform 8.
