Locomotive Services Limited's D1944 'Craftsman' double-headed with D1924 'Crewe Diesel Depot' approach Heaton Lodge East Junction working from Crewe Holding Sidings to York Holgate Siding.

This working was to move the locomotives and empty coaching stock in readiness for Saphos Trains 'The William Shakespeare' rail tour from York to Stratford-upon-Avon and return, scheduled for 19th March.
