The signal box closed after the last train on 19th October 2018 as part of the re-signalling and re-control of the Calder Valley line. Signals along this route are now controlled from York Rail Operating Centre (ROC).

Hebden Bridge signal box, originally known as 'Hebden Bridge East', was built in 1891 by the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway.
